Hello folks. I'm Scott Grove Of Groovymusiclessons.com The purpose of my channel is to teach a lot of free lessons on multiple instruments, urge you to visit my regular site for the best in paid lessons. I do tons of instrument reviews and mostly, I like to stir things up in the music world. Most people are very uninformed on the FACTS pertaining to all things musical, the just love to teach. I've been a touring musician for many years and want to pass on what I've learned along the way. I hope you have fun with the videos, lessons and humor.

Hey great videos thanks for uploading. I have an sx dg1k acoustic guitar. Have you tried these and what do you think of them? Thanks again. Your videos prove that you don't have to spend a lot of cash for a great instrument.
Hi I’ve never played any instrument except a little keyboard when I was much younger that use to light up the keys lol , but today I was proudly giving a C6 Lapsteal Guitar to learn on then I stumbled upon your Chanel thanks so much you put things into such and easier & fun way of learning
Great Lesson Scott, thanks ! 😊✌️🤙
HEY MY MAN! Great to hear from you. I hope you are super groovy!
Come on elixir it's been long enough, time for them to finally hire Scott! I never would have tried them without you championing the polywebs back in the day
Hey my man. Yeah, they should give me a job...this music and UA-cam thing isn't really paying the bills. lol
that intro had to have got some little kid in trouble for sure
I sure hope so. lol
They turned your sound off man. That sucks!
thank you
Thanks for checking it out!
your the man scott, fuck all them limp wristed haters,
LIMP WRISTED...those are the words I was looking for. lol
best jump start… only a few hours in and this has me sounding twangy 👍🏼😎
Awesome! Sooooo glad to hear that. Twang away my friend.
I have 2- 4 bar lights. It doesn’t give me an option for D. My options are sound and auto. And I can’t figure out how to change it from A
Always great, Dr. Groovy. I'm just curious, do you happen to remember the Dr. Groovy poem i wrote several years ago? All about compliments to the best teacher online.
Yes I do! It is great. You are toooooo kind.
Love that song at the beginning of the video! Love your lessons, tips and review videos! Absolutely fantastic!
Thanks so much!
i can not see were your fingers touch
I like how you explained "you just wait on him.."
Yeah, with Johnny and his brother, Tommy, you NEVER knew when they were going to come back in singing or how long of a pause they would take in the middle of a verse or chorus to do anything. A very unique situation.
Groovey music!!! Paul Stanley just did his interview on gibsons main youtube channel showing his guitars. Please do a review of that epsiode in your special i hate everything personality. I love your reviews you hold nothing back! Hope to this video request! Keep it up man! 🤘🤜🤛
I have this exact same guitar. I bought it used back in the early 2000s...and it's been my main strat ever since. Beautiful neck.
Awesome! They are soooo good.
Great video, have you had any issues with the dual speaker mount? I’m finding conflicting information. Amazon says it supports up to 60lbs, their website says 80lbs, you are saying 140lbs (70lbs on each side), the instructions say 100lbs. I just want to make sure they will support my 2 QSC K12.2 speakers (80lbs total) with no issues.
I've never come close to having a problem with the "On Stage" branded ones. Never tried any other brand. I've been using them for many years now and have 10 of them total. I put one on (causes the speaker stand to want to tilt) and then the next cabinet. So, with only one on there, no problems with anything giving away with all the weight to one side until I can balance it out with the 2nd cab.
I just got a jazzmaster with a bigsby. :( it didn't have the spring. I didn't even know it. Restrung it. Didn't realize I couldn't bend down. I was just pulling up harmonic stuff like modest mouse and it kept locked right back in tune cause it's taught against its own top part. Pulls right back to where it should be and can't go further cause it locks tight against itself.
Hey, thanks man. Thankyou . ❤
You're welcome 😊
I have picked a ton more since this video. More string variations, classical strings, a lot more vintage shirts and very hard to find accessories. Such a fun collection to put together.
Cool, wanted to hear you sing it Scott. Cheers🍻
Hope you enjoyed it!
@@groovydjs Sure did!
I seen the shirt lol I have the Iceman and love it.
Gotta love the Iceman. Coolest shaped axe ever.
Thanks!
MANY THANKS...glad you enjoyed it.
Long haired Jack black?
I was Jack Black's babysitter's second cousin twice removed.
@@groovydjs I love how you not just accept the joke but added to it! I will show your videos to my friends brother!
@@Chase-yz6nr Awesome! Very appreciated my friend.
This is hands down the best blind video I found. I own an Ovation and I love it! I knew I wasn't crazy thinking Ovation is very Underrated!!!
A good idea is to start out with both slow and normal versions with a tutorial last, please. The presentation is a bit distracting. Thanks, I enjoyed nonetheless.
Just ordered one for $30. Score!
BIG TIME SCORE!
Thank you good lesson i have been getting into adding skynard songs to play list E major pentatonic
I have one.
Very cool, they are hard to come by.
Thanks Scott! Big outdoor show for me today.. Save A Horse will now be better! EeeeeeeHawwww!
Have fun! Glad you'll be using it!
I have a Ampeg V4-B with a 210 and a 115, I’m a bass player. But I also love electric guitars. I’m picking up a Gretsch Tennessee Rose tomorrow. Would that sound good? I’ve bought a reverb pedal to sweeten up the sound.
Should sound great, especially with the reverb.
U suck as in instructor.
Thank you. Excellent lesson. ✌🏽😎🎶🔥
Glad you liked it!
Do you know what pickups are in this guitar?
Howdy, the specs never listed what pickups came in these.
Well said bud
You weren’t kidding when you said you’re loud. I get some karaoke singers that swallow the mic and muddy up my mix!! I have to change gain settings for them
Here's a great example how it's done in a pro setting by one of the biggest pros around. I hope you dig it: ua-cam.com/video/sfX-BSO-Q8M/v-deo.html
Good lesson, thank you.
Opinion please Ibanez artcore 105 made in china
Is It a class B or AB?
They are actually Class D.
@@groovydjs Is the old model B or AB?
That's tempting... is that possible on a 335 style guitar? Would there be enough angle? I wanna try it, but my bigsby b7-ish hasn't arrived yet. I have an Ibanez AS73.
Thank you Scott for your time and dedication invested in this lesson. Pax et Bonum
I've givin up on expensive Martins. I binding comes off and the woods are not fully cured. I just use a HPL any more. The braces shrink and suck the top down and I throw it away. I get a couple years out of it.
This is fantastic and I love learning from you Brother. Thank you so much for the knowledge (recently acquired a Guild X175 Hollow Body) and also, your sunny disposition is infectious and so greatly appreciated in all the gloom of the world. Have a a great one; look forward to learning more from you! Long May You Strum! 🫡
You are too kind my friend. It sounds like you picked up a groovy axe. I'm glad that what I do agrees with you enough to have you come back! Keep on pickin' and stay in touch.
@@groovydjsthanks so much for the kind reply... I look forward to learning even more from your awesome tutorial videos!✌️
Good lesson. Thank you for the information. Although i thought the G chord was played on the 5th fret. What slide are you using??? I been wanting to get a slide like that.. Have a good day. 👍
Yeah, because of the alternate tuning that was actually used on this, I went with the easiest chords to teach it with, without having to detune. The slide I use can be found here: www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Slide320--dunlop-320-chrome-slide-long?mrkgadid=&mrkgcl=28&mrkgen=gpla&mrkgbflag=1&mrkgcat=drums&percussion&acctid=21700000001645388&dskeywordid=&lid=58700008695999512&dsproductgroupid=&product_id=Slide320&prodctry=US&prodlang=en&channel=online&storeid=&device=c&network=x&matchtype=&adpos=largenumber&locationid=9030763&creative=&targetid=&campaignid=21161059670&awsearchcpc=&gad_source=4&gclid=CjwKCAjw1emzBhB8EiwAHwZZxVBz6NGGVXC78f8DhwkKSF-7CVTYMRFkv4vwTy3tAHQdFd4XAGm_sxoCg1MQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
@@groovydjs Thank you
ahh man ;( why ya doing such a crazy thing? i love all the johnson amps. any of them left? im just seeing the video. :(
Howdy, yeah...I let them all go except for about 12 total. I kept all of the Johnson amps. I'll keep on using them until I croak. lol
18:40 A little Peter Frampton in there 😎
Interesting. Don Rich!
Excellent video!
Glad you liked it!
Scott is the best. He is so versatile and personable. The guy can play and sing. He is a one man band. Knows the gear as well.
You are WAY too kind. Many thanks my friend.
Nice lick! Thanks.
